The juicer processes via a process called pressure juicing. It is probably the only juicer on the market that extracts juice this way. The benefits of pressure juicing include getting the most juice from produce and fruit, getting a cleaner juice and providing a sweeter juice. The unit comes fully assembled and clean up is the area that receives the most mixed reviews.
Because the blade and the pulp basket must be cleaned, the cleaning takes anywhere from 2 to 5 minutes. The unit is dishwasher safe but the pulp basket is better off being cleaned by hand to insure that no food bits are left in the basket before using it again. The Jack La Lane juicer is very quiet and produces a good tasting juice. The benefit of the machine is that you can use the whole fruit, peel seeds and all. However, when processing citrus juice, the peel will lend a bitter taste to the juice.
